The facilities at The Meadows Dual Registered Home

The Meadows is a large detached property situated within the pleasant village of Yardley Gobion on the outskirts of Northamptonshire.  The home is tastefully decorated and we encourage residents to personalise their rooms with small items of furniture, pictures, photographs and ornaments.

Our Philosophy

The Meadows believes that residents should expect their quality of life to be enhanced by their admission to the home so encourages indoor and outdoor activities for those residents who wish to be involved.  Regular activities include music and movement, board games, arts and crafts.  Outside entertainers visit on a regular basis.  Day Trips are arranged, as are visits to shopping centres and supermarkets.   For those who prefer a quieter time there are a wide range of facilities that can be enjoyed such as listening to music, reading newspapers or magazines, watching television or puzzles.

Menu

Mealtimes are flexible to suit the needs of individuals.  Our Chef provides a varied menu reflecting residentâ??s preferences and special dietary requirements. Menus are rotated on a 6 weekly basis and reflect seasonal fruits and vegetables.  Alternatives to the main menu are always provided and additional drinks and snacks are available at any time of the day or night as desired.  The Chef welcomes comments from residents and families and encourages participation in meal planning.

Special Occasions

We cater for special occasions with cakes/cards & flowers. We will encourage and assist relatives wishing to organise a party to mark a special anniversary.

 Care

At the Meadows we pride ourselves on the quality of care provided.  Care is delivered by First and Second Level Nurses on a 24-hour basis, assisted by a team of care staff, trained up to NVQ Level two.  We consistently aim for a progressive improvement in the standards of training at all levels of our staff and management.

We want everything we do at The Meadows to be driven by the needs, abilities and aspirations of our service users.  We recognise how easily this focus can slip and we remain vigilant to ensure that the service we provide remains service user led.
