Choosing Care in your own Home

Most people wish to remain in their own home for as long as possible.  It may be that you only require assistance on a temporary basis such as following a hospital admission.  Or it may be that due to an illness or disability you require help intermittently.

Care Services

We provide social support and companionship, personal care, help to get up and go to bed, assistance with medication, domestic cleaning, shopping, laundry and preparing meals.

 

Our Staff

Westminster Homecare is directed and managed by dedicated professionals with many year’s experience in personal and social care.

·      Our care workers undergo a rigorous selection procedure before employment including checks with the Criminal Records Bureau and reference checking. 

·      All carers undergo induction training before being allocated as a carer.  This includes training in Moving and Handling, Health and Safety, Personal Care and Communication. 

·      All carers are employed on a three-month probation before commencing a foundation-training programme. 

·      Further development and training needs are identified through an appraisal and supervision process.  All care workers are supervised on a regular basis. 

·      Many of our carers are working towards NVQ level training in Care. 

·      Care workers providing a service to service users with specific needs undergo specialist training.

Our History

·      Began as Community Care in 1993, in Finchley.  

·      Since then it has established a solid reputation as a quality home care provider for older people and other service users.  

·      We currently have block contracts in Barnet, Potters Bar, Watford, Norwich, Leicester city and spot contracts in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Milton Keynes and Harrow.  

·       We deliver over 10,000 hours of care per week.
